How to avoid Constipation |
| |
|
Ever experience that rotten feeling |
Ever experienced the rotten feeling of not being able to purge your bowels? I have experienced it once or twice and
it is not really a good thing to go through. So here are some tips to help prevent constipation.
Chew your food thoroughly.
Chewing not only helps break down food particles down to a pulp. Chemicals in your saliva helps break down starch
too and convert it to sugar. The less stuff that is wasted, the you need to poop.
Drink up.
One possible cause of constipation is dehydration. This means that your poop is kind of dry. Dry poop is hard poop.
So better drink lots of water.
Get more fiber.
Fiber is nature's plumber snake and is found in leafy vegetables, fruits, whole-wheat and cereals. Oatmeal is a
great fiber source. Cleaning your digestive track also prevents risks like colon cancer. Here is a list of natural
sources of fiber.
Nature's laxatives
You might want to try to take in scraped carrots, peanuts or popcorn before you go to sleep. Raisins and prunes are
also great laxatives.
If all else fails, consult your doctor for a good laxative.
