History
of the Church Building

A letter
Dear Friends
Since we last had a moments celebration, our `Golden Day’, many changes in our world can be seen. So many new
nations have arisen, men are exploring the potential of space travel.
Our city has taken on look presenting one of the highest buildings in Europe, new shops and hotels. Industrial
strife seems on the increase, and certain young people of the society give rise to much concern because of
impropriety and vandalism.
In this very environment the Church remains the Church Universal, and our local
Church at Clayton being part of this great fellowship must seek to witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. We have great
opportunity for such witness in our district, let us as a Church rise up for the sake of the Master.
Looking back over the number of years, memory is kind enough to let us in store; we can say `Our God has done all
things well’! Then let us move into the future confident in Him.
Yours in Christian fellowship,
Seymour Road Congregational Building
